My Review

I have read lots of books about adoption and fostering, but never a heartbreaking fiction book as much as How to Make Friends With The Dark.

Tiger is like all sixteen year olds, when her mother controlling gets too much she is not nice to her mother. If only Tiger could take back some of those things she said and thoughts about her mother as Tiger has some devastating news her mum has died. This will be so hard for Tiger at sixteen to be without her mum, and without a father as her mother would never talk about Tiger’s dad.

I really felt so sorry for Tiger as its going to be difficult for her in a foster family, as nothing will feel the same for her, without her own mum in her own home.

I won’t say what happens within Tiger’s life during her foster home and her future, as I don’t want to spoil it for readers. I love my mum very much and I don’t know what I would do without her.

This is one novel that I’m pleased I have read. I strongly recommend reading How to Make Friends With The Dark, it will take you on a journey appreciating what you have that is precious to you in life. Every reader will find something within this story close to your heart.
