The Missing Years Lexie Elliott
Paperback published by Corvus Books

I’m abig fan of the author Lexie Elliott, since reading her first book The French Girl. The Missing Years is a slow page turning thriller. Where as The French Girl, was straight into action.
I did feel sorry for Ailsa Calder she’s only inherited half the house in Manse in the Scottish Highlands. A solicitor tells Ailsa that her father still owned the other half, but she hadn’t seen her dad since he left the house over 27 years ago. The bad news is that means Ailsa can’t sell the house that she has inherited or rent it out, not without her fathers permission. Ailsa was going through a difficult time, she’s half a sister and half of the house.
In the middle of the night, Ailsa finds a stranger in her house. Who is he & what excuse does he have for being in the house.
Any reader that likes reading slow burning thrillers will like The Missing Years. For me personally I enjoyed reading The French Girl much more than The Missing Years.
I think personally we all have our favourite book by an author that we follow.
I have also read The French Girl. I like that I couldn’t guess the ending. I’m glad you liked that book too. I have yet to read this one. I’m glad you enjoyed even though not as much as the author’s debut. Great review!
