MY REVIEW
It’s Gone Dark Over Bill’s Mother is a fabulous collection of award winning stories. The Young narrative voice is strong and very believable. I myself was never car sick, but many children/ people are. Car sickness played a role within in this story. Maybe you remember all the people and doors numbers of who lived in what house, just like the character in this book, knows everyone and their door numbers. No one sweeps their steps anymore. The only trouble is now people move more frequently and it’s impossible to keep up with the names of people and door numbers of neighbours or within your neighbourhood. The Nan who is witty and outspoken broke her arm just like Margaret Thatcher so it says within this story . I recommend this fiction book as there are funny parts to enjoy and with lots of situations within this story that might well bring out your own memories.
