A captivating and richly imagined world that shimmers with trinkets from the circus and draws you into its irresistible story.

Tansy and Belle are stars at the grand finale of a circus show, a dazzling and perfectly timed trapeze act where they soar through the air like butterflies. One night, desperate to impress her older sister, Tansy attempts a spectacular jump and falls. Now terrified of heights, all Tansy can do is watch from below while Belle shines above. But when Belle mysteriously vanishes and Tansy’s shadow miraculously comes to life, Tansy discovers that the courage she needs to rescue her sister may have been inside her all along.

MY REVIEW

Wow! What a stunning cover. I’d like to have this beautiful butterfly with the circus imagines as a bookmarker.

This book maybe for age range from 9+ but I loved every page of The Butterfly Circus. I would definitely say no matter what your age is you will all love this story.

The Butterfly Circus by Francesca Armour-Chelu, is about a magical world about an imaginary circus that draws you into the story with a lost sister. This book is perfect for fans of Kiran Millwood Hargrave and Katherine Rundall.

I could picture all the scenes as they unfolded.

Sisters Tansy and Belle are like butterflies of the circus, that really fly through the air.

On the trapeze bars, Tansy is the flyer, and Belle, her sister is her catcher. On the night of a performance, Tansy is swinging over the bars until she’s upside down. She lets go of the bars and fly’s through the air just like a butterfly, she’s flying fifty feet in the air, she normally completes two somersaults, but this time she decided to do a triple somersault.

My heart missed a beat as I read the next part.

Timing is everything and unfortunately Belle isn’t able to catch Tansy when she lands. Tansy is spinning and dropping with sickening speed. Sadly Tansy will never fly again, but she still feels involved with Butterfly Circus by washing and fixing Belle’s costumes.

Out of the blue, Belle has gone missing, but Tansy just can’t seem to understand why she has gone, or why Belle never told her where she was going.

Why did Belle disappear? And will she be found?

I would like to thank Walker Books for sending me this paperback book for an honest review.
