Can You See Me by Libby Scott & Rebecca Westcott
What made want to order my copy from Waterstones book shop, is that Libby Scott is just 11 years old and co-author, with Autism who helped author Rebecca Westcott write Can You See Me.
My favourite part was character Tally a autistic girl who wrote diary entries. Little did I know that Libby actually wrote the diary entries based on her own experiences of autism.
In Tallys diary she writes that actually she’s Natalie but her friends and family call her Tally. She lives with her mum and dad and her annoying big sister Nell. Her mother gave her the diary to write down how she’s feeling. Her mother believes that writing it all down might help Tally understand how she copes or don’t cope. In different situations Tally can get anxious or scared. Tally understands that she is autistic and that it can hold her up in life.
For me this is a very important book of the year, that I hope people will understand about autism more.
