MY REVIEW 

What an Interesting read. I was fascinated, Liana Ainge teaches lawyers how to play the piano. Not only lawyers, but the majority of her adult students are lawyers. Why do lawyers want to play the piano? Liana explains this further. 


Our reality is created by our brain. It receives sensory information from our organs, eyes ears, tongue, skin and nose. The fascinating thing is our brain has no idea what reality looks like. 


Do we listen to sad music when we are sad and to happy music when we are happy? Or do we listen to sad music to comfort ourselves and to happy music to make us happier?


ABOUT LIANA AINGE 



Liana was born and raised in Russia in the former Soviet Union where she studied music and psychology. She moved to the UK in 1999 and currently lives and works in Oxfordshire. Her passion is research into how learning to play the piano can improve the function of the brain and enhance the memory. As a direct result of her researches she has developed her own technique to teach students to play the piano concentrating on using the right side of the brain which is associated with people who tend to be creative and artistic. She has also developed a system of “musical maths” to improve sight-reading and memory. Her students cover a wide spectrum from children to retirees ranging from beginners to professionals. When not teaching she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her young son, including, paradoxically, teaching
