THE DEVIL UPSTAIRS ANTHONY O’NEILL BLOG TOUR

THE DEVIL UPSTAIRS BY ANTHONY O’Neill

Hardback published by Black and White Publishing 5th September 2019

Cat Thomas relocates to Edinburgh, fleeing death threats related to her job as a fraud investigator in Florida. Her 18th century Dean Village flat is utterly idyllic except for one thing the devil upstairs.

Cat lies awake, delirious from lack of sleep, dreaming of ways in which to get rid of the utterly inconsiderate neighbour who keeps her awake every night with loud music and wild parties. Desperate for a solution, she joins a work friend at witches conclave and is blissfully surprised when the noise suddenly stops.

But when the devil upstairs is found dead and Cat’s seemingly perfect man arrives in his place, the problem she thought were solved come back to haunt her in new and unexpected ways.

MY REVIEW

Cat a routine fraud investigator had sinister things happening to her, she was threatened by an organised crime syndicate where dead animals were left on her door step and her car was spray painted with warnings on. Once the guilty ones were sent to jail, Cat decided to move away to another country for her own safety. Cat moves away to Edinburgh. Tucked away and out of sight, everything seemed going splendidly in her new flat, until she has trouble with the devil upstairs. This story gave me the creeps that’s why I recommend it, after all there’s nothing like a suspenseful novel.
