Sleep by C.L.Taylor
Paperback Published Avon
All Anna wants is to be able to sleep. But crushing insomnia, terrifying night terrors and memories of that terrible night are making it impossible. If only she didn’t feel so guilty…
To escape her past, Anna takes a job at a hotel on the remote Scottish island of Rum, but when seven guests join her, what started as a retreat from the world turns into a deadly nightmare.
Each of the guests have a secret but one of them is lying – about who they are and why they’re on the island. There’s a murderer staying in the Bay View hotel. And they’ve set their sights on Anna.
Seven strangers. Seven secrets. One deadly lie.
Someone’s going to sleep and never wake up.
MY REVIEW
I have read many books by C.L. Taylor, she is one author that I always keep a look out for her new book. I enjoyed Sleep, just like I have enjoyed all of C.L. Taylor’s books.
This book Sleep certainly has one of the best twists, being as I didn’t guess the twists at the end. That’s why I enjoyed reading Sleep.
The next reason I was hooked into Sleep, when it came apparent to me finding out why C.L. Taylor gave this page turner the title Sleep, but I won’t spill the question why the title is Sleep.
What’s the story about?
The main character Anna is traveling in her car with friends when a Lorry crashes into her car killing two passengers. I thought that this was going to be one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have read with Anna in hospital with her injuries and being told not all her friends survived. But little did I know death is following Anna and I was going to suffer more heartbreaking news.
The best thing for Anna is to take a job in Bay View Hotel in the remote Scottish island of Rum. It’s the only hotel on the island. And with seven strangers that Anna books into the hotel, I’m afraid there is one killer.
Don’t miss Sleep, everyone is talking about it.
