Even Stars have dreams

All she wants for Christmas

Popstar Jessika Malone can’t believe her luck! Not only has she signed a major record deal and is topping the charts with her latest single, she’s just been offered the chance of a lifetime: a tour with gorgeous megastar Cooper Black…

It’s everything she’s ever dreamed of – except that it means travelling thousands of miles from her boyfriend, Daniel, just when he’s finally got down on one knee and popped the question!

Far from home and followed by the paparazzi, her relationship is tested more than Jessika ever imagined – will she make it home for Christmas before it’s too late?

MY REVIEW

I loved reading themes that are about Christmas time. I’ll Be Home for Christmas is a feel good story about popstar Jessika Malone, who is constantly in the public eye. I believe what made this story so real life is that as Abbey Clancy is constantly followed by paparazzi, she knows how to adapt a good story about a popstar. Let’s talk about romance. A story by Mills and Boon has to have the romance to make it magically touch our hearts. And I’ll Be Home for Christmas, certainly touched my heart. I wanted Popstar Jessika to be happy forever.

Chapter 1

There are many aspects to the world of social media that I find confusing. Embarrassing. Overwhelming, even.Like when someone snaps a picture of me the morning after the night before, and sticks it up on Instagram without even a measly Willow filter. I mean, we’ve all been there, right? Your mouth feels like it’s been vacuum packed with a decomposing ferret, and your hair has gone full-on Walking Dead, and you know you’re just going to die unless you get immediate access to a paper bag full of MacDonald’s hash browns? Yeah. Well, imagine in that precise moment, someone incredibly chipper bounces over, grinning from ear to ear at the sight of you, and wants nothing more than to snap a picture of you together, no matter how grey your skin is or how far down your face your mascara’s slipped. Not good. But -and I get this, I really do-it’s all part of my job. My job isn’t an ordinary job. It’s being a pop star- Jessika-to the world at large. Not very long ago at all I was the person who would have been bouncing over and asking for the pic, so I can’t complain. Not so very long ago, I was scraping a Living singing Disney covers at kids birthday parties, working as an intern at a record label.
