In Five Years By Rebecca Serle
Hardback published by Quercus Books 10th March 2020
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN FIVE YEARS ?
Type-A Manhattan lawyer Dannie Khohan has been in possession of her meticulously crafted answer since she understood the question. On the day that she nails the most important job interview of her career and gets engaged to the perfect man, she’s well on her way to fulfilling her life goals.
That night Dannie falls asleep only to wake up in a different apartment with a very different ring on her finger, and in the company of a very different man. The TV is on in the background, and she can’t make out the date. It’s the same night December 15th but 2025, five years in the future.
It was just a dream, she tells herself when she wakes, but it felt so real. Determined to ignore the odd experience, she files it away in the back of her mind.
That is until four and a half years late, when Dannie turns down a street and there, standing on the corner, is the man from her dream.
MY REVIEW
I read In Five Years a proof copy paperback’ that I’m so greatful to have received.
I’m a big fan of Rebecca Serle after reading and reviewing The Dinner List, as soon as I found out Rebecca had a new book coming out In Five Years, I was bursting to read it, and my buzz to want to read it paid off, I just loved it!
Wow, I got sucked up into this story I lost track of time, I couldn’t put it down. I truly loved every page. I can honestly say that the novel In Five Years was so much more than I was expecting it to be. I know that I will never ever forget this brilliant story.
In Five Years has it all an usual account Dannie Khonan falls asleep and has a premonition at exactly what will happen to her in Five months time & nineteen days on December 15th in 2025. She is going to sleep with best friends boyfriend, while she is still engaged to David. This is the love story with a question mark hanging over Dannie with her premonition. Will everything be excally as she dreamed? Then there’an extremely sad heartbreak for Dannie that had me trying to hold back my tears, that I didn’t quite manage to do. I can’t recommend In Five Years, highly enough.
Be ready everyone will be talking about this book as it topped to be the biggest and most unexpected love story of 2020
I would have given In Five Years by Rebecca Serle much more than five stars rating on book websites if I could have, that’s why I totally have to recommend this book.
