Murder on the Moorland Helen Cox Social Media Blast

Murder on the Moorland by Helen Cox

Paperback published by Quercus 20th August 2020

The Kit Hartley Yorkshire Mysteries 3

Kitt Hartley wakes to the news that a murder has been committed in Irendale, a village high on the wild Yorkshire moors where her boyfriend, DI Malcolm Halloran, lived with his ex-wife until she too, was murdered. The MO of the two crimes is identical, right down to the runic symbols carved into the victims’ hands.

Unable to leave it to the local police to solve, Kitt and Halloran travel to Irendale, where a literary mystery awaits. A line of Anglo-Saxon poetry found on the victim leads to a hiding place, and another cryptic clue. What is the connection to the murder of Halloran’s wife all those years ago?

It will take the combined ingenuity of Kitt and Halloran, as well as Evie Bowes, Grace Edwards and, despite their best efforts, Ruby the (possible) psychic to solve this case. The moors may be beautiful, but they’re not peaceful!

MY REVIEW

I have been a huge fan of Helen Cox’s mysteries since reading book 1, Murder by the Minster. ⭐️

Murder on the Moorland is a little different type of mystery with more profiling on a murder, than in the previous books, that I totally loved.

I was really pleased that DI Malcolm Halloran and Kitt Hartley are back with another murder to solve, they are both characters that I adore reading about in all Helen Cox’s books πŸ“š

DI Malcolm Halloran’s ex-wife was murdered. Now there has been another murder that matched with the same symbol carved into the victims hands. DI Malcolm Halloran visits Kerr in prison, he knows that the latest victim has something to do with Kerr even though he is in prison.

Amber has been murder, she had been found with a runic symbol carved on her handβœ‹

Amber was an intelligent woman and lived a quite life, she had no issues with any work colleagues. Amber had been seeing her boyfriend for a few months. So who wickedly murdered her?

Kitt Hartley wants to help her boyfriend DI Malcolm Halloran into the investigation to find the murderer who is responsible for the death of Amber.

Will DI Malcolm Halloran’s thoughts πŸ€” be right that prisoner Kerr has something to do with the death of Amber or will it be someone that Amber knows ?

I think that Helen Cox is the new Miss Marple.

As I’m so much into Kitt Hartley’s Yorkshire mysteries reading all the series’s I am excited to find out what my favourite author Helen Cox will write πŸ“ about next.

If you like mysteries and haven’t read any books by Helen Cox I recommend this author to you.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Quercus Books for sending me my favourite authors book to read and review and for inviting me to take part in this wonderful Social Media Blast.
