After she completed a rigorous semester at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan while also working full time as a hairstylist, the summer had been a much needed break. It was taking a long time to complete her bachelor’s degree, but she was determined to finish and work in law enforcement. Grace, her grandmother, always told her she just needed to keep her eyes on the prize, to work hard and God would take care of the rest.

As she got older, her love for writing only grew. She started her career in the entertainment business over a decade ago, and her experience include writing, producing, directing, and editing for film. She has also written plays focusing on family and relationships, and they were part of several play festivals throughout New York City, Detroit, and Washington, D. C.
