MY REVIEW
I am so pleased to be back reading the new book by Helen Cox. I’m a big fan of the authors Yorkshire mysteries, with reading all of her books. A Body by the Lighthouse is a guessing game who has committed a murder.
Private investigator Kitt Hartley and her twin sister Rebecca were preparing to go on holiday to Scotland. But Kitt Hartley is given some very bad news her friend Bryce Griffin had been shot, with his body has been washed up on the rocks by a lighthouse.
With the huge size of the Ship, of about a thousand crew members that work on it, that means this equals to a lot of suspects as the police believe that Bryce must have been shot at then pushed overboard. The question is why did someone want to kill Bryce Griffin and how was a gun smuggled onto the cruise ship? And how did the person who shot Bryce, without anyone hearing a gunshot.?
With all these questions I just had to find out who was responsible for killing Kitt Hartley’s friend Bryce.
Helen Cox, is my queen of Miss Marple, who knows just how to write the perfect mystery to kept me up way past my bedtime, as once I start reading Kitt Hartley Yorkshire mysteries I can’t stop. I have had such fun over the course of a couple of years reading Helen Cox book after book, now I all I need to know is what will Kitt Hartley investigate next?
I would like to thank Quercus Books for sending a printed paperback copy to read and review and for very kindly inviting me to take part in this brilliant blog tour.
