I missed the first book Putting Everything On The Line, but I’m so glad I have now got a copy of Kathryn’s second book Crossing Lines, which can be read as a standalone.

MY REVIEW

Every now and then a really good police procedural comes along with Crossing Lines by Kathryn Pana easily top my favourite lists, with the emotional things that Kathy and her colleague have been through.

Kathy Hill left her fiancée in Chicago to New York SWAT unit, where she would bea Sergeant with her own team. Kathy starts a relationship with another Sergeant who saved her life after a man had kidnapped and shot her. That same awful man had shot his parents too.

A new recruit is appointed, as a new team member, she is given the call name Orange.

When an emergency call takes the police to evacuate a shopping mail, as three armed suspects are in the food court with a number of hostages. But the new recruit is in trouble as everyone was alive, but now three have died, with several wounded hostage, all because the new recruit name Orange fired her weapon without permission and worst still she missed.

I couldn’t believe that new recruit Orange, was up to something, but I won’t reveal what, or why she wanted to work with that particular police unit.

I literally couldn’t put this book down. I highly recommend this book as it’s worth every penny from this talented author.
