Lacey’s House was one of my favourite books that I read back in 2013
I absolutely loved reading this wonderful, story. It is honestly a real page turner with interesting characters. All the characters and places they live in are described beautifully.
Lacey Charmichael is an old woman who lives in End cottage. Since Alberts wife died Lacey goes to his house next door for something to eat and play cards.
Lacey set of to Alberts house next door and finds Albert in a pilllow of blood in his hallway.
Lacey leaves Albert there and sets of back home again. Police arrest Lacey on supicion of murdering poor Albert. People in the village gossip about old Lacey saying she is mad, crazy or a witch.
Rachel Moore moves in Alberts cottage. Rachel and Lacey become good friends, sharing their stories about their life, loss and heartache. Rachel soon discovers details about Lacey, but is left questioning where the truth really lies.
