MY REVIEW
I absolutely loved Glow Up Lara Bloom!
This is the perfect very funny book I think for 10 to 12 years old about Lara, who is the perfect teenager which girls can relate to.
With Lara writing in a lock up diary, that will take us back to our younger days when we used to write diaries, maybe with even writing who you have a crush on.
Personally I felt a bit sorry for Lara, when her wicked brother who got on my nerves, he finds the key to Lara’s diary. He makes Lara do all his house work duties or he will tell his best friend that she has a crush on him.
The only thing is Lara is meeting her friend, but she is so embarrassed her brother will tell his best friend, that she’s in love with him, so she has no choice but do her brother’s house work schedule.
Well that’s what best friends are for they tell Lara to do an online journal, then her crafty brother can’t read it.
Lara Bloom who loves playing football, casts herself as just plain, with her Afro hair, and so forgettable, but are things looking up for Lara when she meets the new boy in the school? The only thing is Lara feels left out as there’s always the prettiest girls in the school likes boys too.
This page turning story takes us inside through Lara Bloom’s dear diary, with the exact time of her thoughts. With Lara feeling like no boys will like her, she is pleased when her friends help her with a glow up plan, to get boys to notice her.
GLOW UP PLAN

Step 2: Tackle hair.
Step 3: Tackle clumsiness
SPIRITUAL GLOW UP

Honestly girls will have so much laughter reading all about Lara Bloom, and will most likely be able to connect with Lara.
What’s to look forward to friends, football, fun, crushes.
This is one of those young teenage reads that it’s definitely a must buy must read!
Dee Benson has loved books since childhood. Exploring Narnia, adventuring with the Famous Five, and indulging all things girly with Sweet Valley Twin sparked her love for reading. She finds it surreal that she now gets to create her own worlds and characters in her books of her own. At university she studied Molecular Biology with Genetics and only survived it by writing fiction during lectures. When she isn’t writing, Dee enjoys long walks, good food, and music that makes her wish she could sing. She lives in Liverpool with her husband and two daughters.
