Zara and Adnan are just friends. Always have been. Always will be. Even if they have to pretend to be more than that.
Zara’s been waiting her whole life for a big love story of her own. So pretending to date her best friend Adnan to cover up his new top-secret relationship? Not quite what she had in mind.
Except there’s something in it for Zenna too, her parents love Adnan, and dating him might just stop them arguing. While she might not be getting her own love story, she could save theirs.
But with fake dating comes fake hand-holding and fake kissing and real feelings. And when Yahya, Zara’s perfect boy, turns up, things get more confusing than ever. MY REVIEW what’s to look forward to is, fake dating, friends to lovers, love square, second chance romance, in this novel, This is How You Fall in Love. This is the love story will have you rooting for true romance.
MY REVIEW
Although I really liked the idea of fake dating, I think this novel is best suited for young teenagers, with all the characters using Instagram, and dm messages.
Adnan and Zara’s have known each other for years, they both have South Asian parents that are really strict. Their Desis parents feel that it would best if they could date together, as Desis must date Desis.
Adnan and Zara come up with a secret plan, to pretend they are dating to make their parents happy.
Although Zara and Adnan are fake dating, Adnan accidentally announced on Instagram to the world that him and Zara are in a relationship. Lucky for Adnan he has a girlfriend that’s okay with Adnan saying he’s dating Zara.
The one thing that Zara and Adnan have to do secretly is take a DNA test to check to see if they are related to each other.
I enjoyed the twist in this teenage story.
The cover is really bright and colourful and cute that will attract young teenager’s to pick this book up in a shop because it has young teenagers on the front cover, with head phones on.
