MY REVIEW

I absolutely loved this heartbreaking show biz drama. The author has got into the heads of a girl band, and with record companies. This story seems quite real-life in parts, where most girl band mates, have their squabbles. But in this gripping fictional tale about a girl group is where the girl band mates, have gone too far with of their band mates.

Emmy was eleven when her sister Beth became famous in a girl band The Jinks. Emmy’s sister was a star. Their dad is part of The Jinks management team as he knew all about band as he used to be in a band of his own. When The Jinks won their Great British audition and got famous they had to have a team, and then their dad instantly became The Jinks official manager.

Something happened and members of The Jinks kicked Beth out of their own band. And now Beth is dead.

Lizzie Beck was only 21 when she took her own life. After learning about Beth’s death, The Jinks girl band, gave a statement of lies saying they called Beth their sister.

The official joint statement from Electric Records, Sky Scape Management and North West Entertainment gave their statement, it was more self serving lies.

It’s heartbreaking Emmy, feel as so she is lost in the dark, she has lost her eldest sister, Beth, and is going through grieving for having to live her life with out pop star sister.

100% recommend this fabulous book, Where The Light Goes to all YA readers and all readers what ever your age that love their music, or love reading fiction books in general, as it’s completely unputdownable. This book is so good I can see how the author Sara Bernard was the winner of the YA book prize.
