I can always rely on author Jenny Blackhurst for a perfect thriller.
Since the death of their mother, Holly and Claire Matthews, became closer than ever.
22 year old Holly has found herself a job at Martha’s Vineyard. I was surprised to find that Martha’s Vineyard is a real place, that can only be reached by boat.
Holly mixes in with two rich boys Ryan Slayton, and his brother Bobby. Holly is loving the freedom to able to go to a beach party.
But being new to the area I wouldn’t go off with any boys that I’ve only just met. I would need to get to know them more, for a few more weeks, before being alone with either of the Slayton boys.
If I was new to area of Martha’s Vineyard, I would be worried about being alone, or if I could really trust a person I was hanging out with, as rumours were going around about a young girl named Natalie who died in the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
Claire is worried about Holly as the last time she had a text from her younger sister, was 3 days ago. And the last text that Holly sent, Claire is suspicious, that the text could have come from someone else who must of used Holly’s phone, to send it.
The police aren’t much help in finding Holly.
A flight is booked for Claire, to go and find her sister. When Claire tries to find out how Holly disappeared she is lied to. I just wish the truth had been told.
What happens next I wasn’t prepared for.
The twist was another big shock to me.
This is a marvellous psychological thriller that is a must read for all thriller fans.
