MY REVIEW
DCR Bond is my favourite author after reading Sarah Needs Saving. DCR Bond is an excellent author with the best imagination telling lovely stories, bringing amazing cast of characters in every book she writes.
Im desperately wanting to see Emily’s Algarve Escape made into a film.
I was truthful literally superglued to this story of Emily’s Algarve Escape . This story was right up my street, as I love reading stories about rich glamorous women.
Emily has it all, lives with her husband Mark, Son Alex and West Highland terriers, with hating house cleaning and cooking, Emily has a housekeeper in their luxurious quiet residential square in London’s Knightsbridge, which I can just imagine it cost an absolute fortune to buy.
I would love Emily’s walk-in wardrobe. She has so many clothes, that one job on her list is to sort out her wardrobe for clothes to give the hospice charity shop.
Emily has a good husband, he doesn’t mind when Emily goes on shopping trips, to the spa and lavish lunches.
Sometimes it doesn’t matter how rich you are, families can fall out, that’s why Emily’s son Alex has moved out to a village in Devon, to his parents second Homer. With Alex’s passion for surfing, Devon seems to be the just the perfect place to stay out of his fathers way. But it’s his mother, who sends him money to keep him afloat, without her husband knowing.
With money no object, all Emily wants is a villa in Spain, an automatic cover for the basement pool, new gym equipment and a trip to a health farm in Austria.
Manging Director banker, Mark, drops bombshell he announced it’s time for him and his wife to emigrate to Portugal. This mean’s Emily will have to leave her immaculate London home. The question is why is Mark making plans for them to live in Portugal, and when Mark dishes out further plans, Emily is not very happy.
I originally thought I was going to read all about Emily with her amazingly rich life, without any set backs in her life, but how wrong was I. The story gave me much more with a few complications for Emily and Mark that I didn’t expect.
If you are wanting a book to take on holiday this book is sure one of them, it will entertain you by the pool, with your sunglasses and a glass of sangria.

Thank you so much literallypr for sending me this wonderful book and for inviting me to take part in this fantastic blog tour.
About author DCR Bond

DCR Bond (Debbie) was born in London, but grew up Jamaica, then Zambia, and dimensions of this international upbringing feature in her writing. As a child she was encouraged to write and wanted to nurture her talent and become a journalist. She never did; instead, she studied law, then qualified as an accountant and worked for twenty years in the City. She’s not sure she ever really enjoyed that job. Now freed from the shackles of the day job, DCR Bond has reverted to her childhood passion and loves her new career. Her women’s fiction novels are light-hearted, visual, fast-paced, and easy to read, with strong credible and relatable characters. When Debbie is not writing, she can be found playing tennis (badly), bridge (a little better), in the gym, walking her dogs on Exmoor, or tending her garden – she loves cooking her own produce for friends and family. She lives with her husband in rural Devon, surrounded by their miniature bull terriers and small flock of free-range hens.
