And someone wants revenge.
MY REVIEW
The Blackout started of slow, building up to quiet a frightening pace, so much I wanted to hide under the covers. I can see this being made into a film.
Meg and Cat are having a lovely time dancing, drinking on a Saturday night in a Bristol club. Everything is going wrong for Meg on the anniversary of Damion, her brother death.
On the way out of the club, a man barged passed Meg, with her mobile phone smashing to the ground.
It’s not until they catch the bus on their way home, Meg realised her purse was missing with her bus ticket, along with her money and credit cards plus her driving license. Who ever has stolen Meg possession now knows exactly where Meg lives, fearing for her life.
The bus driver forces both of the girls off the bus, leaving them with no other choice but to walk home.
In the middle of nowhere, Meg notices they are being followed by two men. Their only option is to run.
Meg and Cat hide in an unused building. With knowledge of Meg’s late brothers Damion’s spy books setting up traps and all the spy film he watched, Meg, is good at hiding, leaving traps for the 2 guys trying to find Meg and Cat.
Hold your breath this story is going to get a lot more frightening, Meg’s and Cat’s life are in even more danger.
I would like to thank Avon Books for sending me a printed copy to read and give my honest review.
About author Sarah Goodwin

Sarah Goodwin is a novelist who grew up in rural Hertfordshire. She was raised on ‘The Good Life’ ‘Anne of Green Gables’ and ‘Little House on the Prairie’ by her parents, who turned a blind eye to her dabbling in herbal medicine, feminism, eco-warrior ideals and witchcraft. They were understandably unsurprised when she developed the lifetime ambition of building a hut in the woods and living there like a soothsayer.
Her second preferred career, was author.
At Bath Spa University Sarah studied for a BA in Creative Writing and self-published many novels across various genres, including YA magical realism, contemporary women’s fiction, romance and horror.
Sarah graduated in 2014 with an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. After writing several historical novels, she decided to return to her roots and write instead about the wild, the darkness and survival, which led to her coming up with the idea for ‘Stranded’ which would become her first professionally published novel
Your review has me wanting to dive under the covers 🤣. What a thriller!
