MY REVIEW
I love reading how the super rich, live, where money is no object, for anything. Queen K is highly addictive, it’s the best fiction story I have ever read about a mega rich Russian family.
Melanie’s dad’s parents wanted her to go to a boarding school. She moves out from her flatshare, in Lewisham, London, for a home schooling job, far away from the busy, noisy streets of London.
Mel is taken to a house in a blacked out Jaguar to the gorgeous French Alps in Courchevel, in a ski resort.
Wealthy, Russian, Kata needs Melanie to be a tutor for her 11 year old, daughter, Alex. Mel must make sure Alex gets into an English school and prepare Alex for her exams.
Young Alex is the daughter of a Russian oligarch, she is used to a world of glittering luxury. How will she cope being tutored by Mel and having to go to a new school.
Kata’s Russian husband, works in finance and is hardly never home. Their home is full of luxury, with a TV hidden in an compartment in the ceiling, a gym, and sauna.
They can afford a house full of staff. I held my breath when Mel snoops around in Kata’s and Olga’s bedroom.
Even though this family at the centre of this story, I never expected anything drastic to happen.
Of course this family are so powerful, and full of money, they own a big yacht, but everyone is thrown into a panic when Kata, goes missing.
I love to escape, reading about a super rich family, that can have everything money can buy.
Secretly I hope Sarah writes about another rich glamorous family, but on the other note what ever fiction novel Sarah Thomas writes next I’m for sure reading it!
