BONNIE MONTGOMERY IS THE WORLD’S GREATEST DETECTIVE
Something terribly fishy happens the moment Bonnie arrives on the Odde Island and it’s not just the smell of the harbour. There’s been a mysterious death at the lighthouse, and almost everyone on the island is a suspect.
Time for Bonnieto don a false moustache and assume her alter-ego of super sleuth, Montgomery Bonbon.
MY REVIEW
Death at the Lighthouse is the second book in the series. The book involves Bonnie Montgomery, who isn’t a real detective, she is just an ordinary 10 year old girl, living in a fictional town of Widlington, but she turns into a detective to solve murders. She disguises herself into a man, wearing a beret with a raincoat and a false moustache, speaking in a foreign accent, who is going solve a murder in a lighthouse.
Oddly Island is in shock, after a high winds claimed the life of lighthouse keeper Maude Cragge. The alarm was raised at midnight by exciseman Iain Percival, when he noticed that our beloved clockwork lighthouse lantern had stopped turning.
I highly recommend Montgomery Bonbon series of books to all middle grade readers from 9-12 years of age.
