FIVE FRIENDS. ONE DEADLY SECRET.
Five old university friends gather on the eve of their flatmate’s memorial at a beautiful riverside house.
Host Caro is as perfect as always. Shy awkward Lily’s now a bestseller author. Sports hero George loves suburban fatherhood. Bad-boy Travis only gets his high’s from meditation. And gatecrasher Elle is still a troublemaker.
Estranged for years, they’ve finally ready to reminisce over dry martinis and delicious food. But there’s more than that on the menu.
Because each guest is hiding a dark secret about their time at Oxford.
They’re all guilty of something. But is one of them guilty of murder?
MY REVIEW
I have read a lot of stories about reunions but this one is somehow much more entertaining. Who is keeping a secret about a murder?
Excerpt from the London Gazette
Most Middle-class injury ever!
Just as doctors call for avocados to come with a cutting-injury warning, there’s a new health hazard to panic middle-class suburbanites the humble cheese plate. At a dinner party in the leafy south-west London suburb of Barnes, a guest was allegedly stabbed in the stomach with a elaborate silver cheese knife normally used for nothing more harmful than slicing a good Brie.
My favourite most scary part of the story I read.
‘What the fuck are you talking about?’ Travis shouted. I’m dying over here. I’ve been stabbed.
