And her leading lady, Essie Lay, is on the cups of a stunning comeback after a disturbing scandal a year before. When Essie messages April to say she can’t face the ceremony, April goes to her Hampstead mansion to persuade her to attend. Instead, she finds Essie dead in her swimming pool. In that moment April makes an agonising decision, one that will force her into a disturbing course of action.
MY REVIEW
This is one my favourite novels, that have topped my reading time, finding this book absolutely unputdownable. I was influenced to read this story, after reading and enjoying Such a Good Mother by author Helen Monks Takhar, which is another great one to read. Nothing Without Me, is a celebrity twisting, strange story that keeps everyone guessing about what is happening next. April Eden is a writer and director, for a film The Woman Who Vanished. She has the beautiful talented Essie Lay, to act in it, with her blonde hair extensions, perfect fingernails. But April finds Essie, who suffers from dissociative disorder in her mansion face down in Essie’s swimming pool, with drugs and champagne at the pool side. It appears that April and Jags aren’t thinking straight and dealing with Essie face down in the pool. On the same evening writer, April, and jags found Essie dead, April has to attend an award ceremony as the film she has written The Woman Who Vanished is up for an award, along with Essie as her acting in it. But how are they going to stop Essie’s sister who is Essie’s manage, and the press and police from finding out Essie is dead in her pool. How the author Helen Monks Takhar managed to plan all this out I don’t know as I totally loved every page.
