MY REVIEW
This may however seem rather traumatising in the events that a young lady who claims she has been assaulted and raped, by one her best friends husband. That is a hard pill to swallow, when you think you know your husband, always believed every single word he tells you. Ali has known her best friend Karen, for over twenty years from college, with Karen, being close to Ali’s family, spending lots of time in her house, almost being like an aunt, to Ali and Mike’s children. So how do Ali work out who is telling the truth? To make matters even worse Karen who has been raped by Ali’s husband Mike, she is taken to a sexual assault centre in Kent for tests. Ali and Mike look on as the police are involved that have taped of their garden as it’s now a crime scene. For Ali all this seem to be like her worst nightmare ever, and just all this can’t really be happening, to her and her husband. Ali is about to get a further shock to her system, her husband has confessed to having sex with Karen in their house, only once. The scene is going to get even more dramatic for Ali, when her husband Mike, is taken to the station for questioning, on the grounds of rape. I was absolutely so hooked into this story, I was turning page after page, loving twist after twist forming right in front of me. I can always rely on Claire McGowan to entertain me, with her twisted novels, and further more this an author I highly recommend you seek out and if you are fans of Claire McGowan, you need to read What You Did! Claire MGowan books are for the likes of Erin Kelly, and Louise Candlish.
