MY REVIEW
The Grass Widow, by Vanessa Edwards is my favourite book about a marriage thriller! I’m definitely shouting out loud to all bloggers/readers this is your absolute must next read! In many aspects this book about a marriage in crisis could be quite easily be true. The Grass Widow, is one those books, that I can see it well into the top, making of a film. What’s to love about this story is there is so much is going on. This story The Grass Widow, is one of the best, twisted stories about marriage, that I have read in a long time, that leads into a murder. The author has done a masterpiece of a story, one that has been carefully planned, for all readers to be able to follow in an intense mode. Although it can ruin a marriage, a husband and his wife are about to have an affair, where everything will get out of control. Since Hugh and Amanda have moved to Winchester, Hugh has to travel to London to work with often spending days away from their new home. How does Hugh think he can get away with having an affair with a young woman, Leonie, when his shirts come home smelling of perfume. Leonie sells her flat in London, to move to Winchester, to take on a cleaning job, cleaning people’s houses, with New Brooms. But why does Leonie want to move to Winchester, where Hugh lives with wife, who she had an affair with? From Amanda’s point of view she, isn’t getting enough attention from her husband Hugh, once he comes home from work. Recklessly, Amanda embarks on an affair with Simon, an African man, from Zimbabwe who has come back to Uk, looking for work for as a gardener, but really all he is interested in is working for rich women. Meanwhile one other cleaner working for New Brooms is up to something illegal, with someone, where the name, of a man has changed, but why? Hand on my heart I highly recommend this marvellous book The Grass Widow to all fans that love a marriage in crisis, with murder!
