MY REVIEW
The Flanagan Girls is a must read! In Cape Cod, as young girls, Becca Flannigan, the eldest, daughter, always hugged her younger sister Claire, from having nightmares. Now Claire is married and looking back on her childhood, she thought her mother just wasn’t the kind of hands on mother, and always seemed to care about other people’s children than her own. With them thoughts planted firmly in her mind, Claire, is now a loving wife to Patrick Rhodes, and Claire and the perfect mother to their children, where she makes sure that her kids don’t never feel the way she did during her childhood. There’s family drama, the moment when Claire realises that in fact they are so broke, they are finding it hard to pay the bills that are mounting up. Patrick then gets offered a job in Chicago, where he will move there, while Claire and their children stay put in the family home. Patrick will travel back home Fridays to be with, Claire and his children. In the weeks that Patrick isn’t home, Claire finds the weekly routine, with the children, rather hectic. But with big drama ahead do the whole family really think Claire is coping well enough, without her husband Patrick at home? The Flannigan Girls, has plenty of drama, making it a story that you won’t forget. I’m now looking forward to the next novel by author Wendy Haller.
