As the race heats up, things start to unravel. Can the pair and their friendship make it to the finish line?
MY REVIEW
Guardians of the New Moon, Ming and Miaow’s Great Race, is the first book in this exciting adventure. I loved the whole story, and the whole series. After reading book 1 and book 2 I do hope there will be another one in this series, from author Eric Huang and the brilliant illustrator Phung Nguyen Quang. In this fantastic fantasy, Miaow is the cat belonging to the temple. Miaow, is a guardian, making sure no intruders enter the temple. Miaow becomes friends with one rat, Su the rat. Jade Emperor has a brain wave idea, he is going to organise a race, for all the animals on earth to compete against each other. But as always there’s a catch, the emperor, has a set of rules, and documents to be signed. Well the race is on, so who will win? Big trouble looms, Ming the fox, who is a special nine tailed, fox, who can turn into a human, ignites a fire, with his tail, during the great race. At the back of the book is some educational, Chinese religions facts about all of the animals that have been included in this page-turning story, and with Chinese beliefs The Jade Emperor, and his helper Tu Di Gong.
