Lottie is living her best life: a new city to explore, new friends, and the challenge of her studies—until a chance encounter with Payge, an odd bookseller, shatters everything and changes her life forever.
Payge warns Lottie that she’s being hunted by powerful, secretive individuals known as the Makers, who control portals linking different worlds. Offering his protection, Payge takes her through strange realms, where Lottie discovers she has a rare ability the Makers lack—the power to alter these portals. When her powers are exposed, she attempts to escape her dangerous new life, but she faces betrayal, loss, and near-death encounters, relying on her growing bond with Payge to survive. Yet she begins to wonder if he is truly the friend and protector he claims to be. With her world in ruins, her powers revealed, and enemies closing in from all sides, can Lottie find a way to control her destiny—or will she be forced to flee forever?
MY REVIEW
Today I have a brilliant page turning fantasy novel to shout out about. I absolutely loved this story. Although Inquisitive is a fantasy story, by the talented Stephen Frame. The author had my heart was pounding, being astonished in what Lottie gets herself into. Lottie is happy with her two friends, that is until she finds a bookshop, where her friendship is about to put her in trouble. Inside Mr Steals Bookshop, Lottie meets Payge. He warns her that she is being haunted by someone who means to harm her. This is where my stomach turned to jelly, Payge wants Lottie to break into her friend’s dad’s flat. I knew this was a bad idea! But Lottie sees and hears something in that flat, that is going to back fire on her. Oh my goodness you all have to read Inquisitive by Stephen DG Frame, that’s published by The BookGuild, it’s full of twists! Many thanks to zooloos book tours for sending me an invite to read this amazing fantasy that I wouldn’t have missed reading this book for the world. 🫶🩷
