Breaking Free Eva Jean book tour

BREAKING FREE BY EVA JEAN

Independently Published

26th September 2021

Would you recognise if you had been in a controlling or violent relationship?

You would think so, but sadly, it is not always clear-cut.
This is because controlling behaviours are often so well hidden that we don’t recognise what is happening, and the frequency of these ‘attacks’ on our sense of safety and self can be so effective that we often start to lose our sanity and our belief in ourselves. This book is written by a survivor. Eva Jean has compiled these extensive examples based on 30 years personal experience, plus those shared by people all around the country, and from mental health groups and domestic violence charities.

“This book could be a lifesaver for someone in a toxic relationship”

Eva’s books include The 21st Century Escort (2016) which she loved writing, and garnered 5-star reviews, plus the follow-up: Loving an Escort. As of 2019 she released A Book of Three Halves, containing 6 longer erotica tales on all different subjects, and has just released her first self-help book: Breaking Free.

MY REVIEW

Breaking Fee by Eva Jean is about recognising and surviving controlling behaviour.

If you are suffering from domestic abuse you must read this book. It will show you how to safely escape. I know you will think it’s impossible to leave your husband or partner but in truth you can.

Some women think that domestic violence is kicking you, grabbing you, strangling you, but Eva points out in her book there other forms of control.

There’s social control, medical social control, and more extreme social control. There’s financial control. Then there is where you have been treated badly through sexual control. Being controlled is really emotional. I know all about it I have been through it. I lost a lot of weight, weighing just 5 stone, through my ex husband demands and controlling. The best thing I ever did nearly 40 years ago was I made a plan how I was going to escape from him with my baby. I have been very lucky to have fallen in love again with my wonderful partner who I have been with for 29 years, who I’m relaxed to be around.

This book helps you to seek outside help. It lists all the people you can talk to.

If you are in need of someone to talk to please, please, contact helpline@womansaid.org.uk who have a online chat service 7 days a week, from 10am to 6pm.

My thanks to the book network for inviting me to take part in the blog tour .
