Paperback

With a background as a criminal barrister working for both the prosecution and the defense, Helen Fields has a depth of criminal knowledge that lends a fierceness to her shockingly realistic and darkly entertaining novels. Author of ten crime fiction novels and twice long listed for the Mellivanney Scottish Crime Book of the Year, Helen Fields is an international #1 best-selling author published in 22 countries. The Last Girl to Die is her eleventh novel.

The seaweed was a grotesque crown – she was a dead beauty queen belonging to the sea.

In search of a new life, sixteen-year-old Adriana Clark’s American family moves to the ancient, ocean-battered Isle of Mull, far off the coast of Scotland. Then she goes missing. Faced with hostile locals and indifferent police, her desperate parents turn to private investigator Sadie Levesque.

Sadie is the best at what she does. But when she finds Adriana’s body in a cliffside cave, a seaweed crown carefully arranged on her head, she knows she’s dealing with something she’s never encountered before.

The deeper she digs into the island’s secrets, the closer danger creeps – and the more urgent her quest to find the killer grows. Because what if Adriana is not the last girl to die?

Beautifully haunting with twists and turns you’ll never see coming, The Last Girl to Die is your next obsession waiting to happen. Perfect for fans of Stuart MacBride and MJ Arlidge.

MY REVIEW

My big shout out today pick up a copy of The Last Girl To Die, and I promise you won’t be able to put it down!

On an island with so many secrets, she won’t be the last girl to die. An American family from the Southern California moved to the Isle of Mull, where their daughter seventeen year old, Adriana Clark had gone missing, one late September Saturday. She had a summer job at the local pub in Tobermory, while her parents were renting whilst renovating their permanent home. The Clark’s family hire Canadian private investigator Sadie Levesque, who had been an investigator since eight years ago graduating from her Criminal Justice course. Sadie finds Adriana’s naked body in a cave.

This a really haunting tale, one that I don’t think I will get over for a very long time.

All of Helen Fields novels will be loved by fans of Val MCDermid, Stuart MacBride and L.J.Ross.

I would like to thank Midaspr and Avon books UK for sending me a printed copy to read and review and for very kindly inviting me to take part in this unputdownable book blog tour 💙
